Leading innovation funding consultancy company expands product and service offering through global parent group

Braithwaite, one of the nation’s leading innovation funding consultancies, has announced it will rebrand as Visiativ Ireland adopting the name of its global parent company.

Established in 2011, Braithwaite Ireland has been a pioneering company helping Irish businesses secure millions of Euros in R&D tax credits to support their investment in developing innovation. Last year the Dublin-based company handled over €28m of R&D spend for its clients across a multitude of industries.

In 2022, Braithwaite became part of the international Visiativ group following its acquisition by the French-headquartered company. Under its rebrand as Visiativ Ireland, the team will continue to provide high quality, bespoke R&D tax credit advice to its Irish clients with the additional support of its parent company’s global network of innovation funding advisors. Visiativ Ireland will also offer a wider range of new products and services including its CAD software SOLIDWORKS, an automated solution which efficiently manages repetitive design tasks.

The most recent figures available from Ireland’s Office of the Revenue Commissioners reported that €1.29bn was claimed in R&D tax credits by companies based in the Republic in 2021. From the beginning of this year, the refund rate for R&D tax credits was increased from 25% to 30% further enhancing their impact as a key financial tool for innovative, Irish-based companies.

Brenda Donohoe, Regional Sales Director of Visiativ Ireland, said: “We’re delighted to announce this rebrand which marks another important step forward in our journey as one of Ireland’s leading bespoke R&D tax credit consultancies. While we will continue to deliver added value to our clients through our highly qualified and respected team, as Visiativ Ireland we will also develop our product and services offering and leverage the benefits of our group’s global knowledge and experience in the field of innovation funding.

Scott Henderson, CEO of Visiativ UK said: “Since they joined the Visiativ group, we have developed a close working relationship with the team at Braithwaite. The rebranding of the business is a win-win for clients. The locally focused, high calibre service offering will remain intact while the product range will be further enhanced. This includes the addition of SOLIDWORKS which brings a new and innovative offering to the Irish market with the potential to deliver significant cost and time saving benefits to clients.”
