The SOLIDWORKS Surface Modelling course is a two-day training programme aimed at engineers and designers who work with products that feature complex shapes, such as consumer goods, moulded parts or cast components. You will learn how to create freeform geometry using a broad set of surfacing tools, from simple flat surfaces to more advanced bridging surfaces with smooth curvature transitions.

The course also explores how to combine solid and surface features within a single model, giving you the skills to design ergonomic, parametric components that can be easily integrated into assemblies. You will gain a clear understanding of how to turn surface models into solid bodies ready for production.

Alongside the standard course content, you will pick up useful techniques and tips for creating smooth, accurate shapes efficiently. By the end of the course, you will have a deeper knowledge of surfacing workflows in SOLIDWORKS and the confidence to model complex, high-quality parts.

This course is intended for students with a background in mechanical design who have already completed the SOLIDWORKS Essentials & Drawings courses.
