How To: Add Materials to Favourites in SOLIDWORKS
19 July 2024
Looking to access add materials to your favourites in SOLIDWORKS? This easy, quick step-by-step guide from Visiativ will show you how!
Adding a material to a part in SOLIDWORKS is likely common knowledge and well-practiced by SOLIDWORKS users. However, a handy feature to apply your commonly used materials is often overlooked!
By default, SOLIDWORKS adds materials to your favourites, to customise that list you can ‘right-click’ Materials in the Feature Tree, click material, and go to the Favourites tab.
From here we can simply add or remove materials from the list. You can add AISI 316 Stainless Steel to your favourites and remove Nickel and Rubber. You can also add AISI 316 Stainless Steel by selecting it in the list and then clicking Add.
You can remove materials from the list by selecting them and clicking remove.
Now with the customized list adding materials is faster than ever – simply right click materials from the feature tree and apply your choice from the list.
