Ancillary Services
At Visiativ, we offer help with R&D Cash Advances, Capital Allowances, and IP leveraged funding.
R&D Cash Advances
R&D cash advances is a form of short-term cashflow funding to bridge the gap between submitting an R&D cash credit claim and receiving the payment from HMRC. An R&D cash advance can be for any value BUT most lenders will not lend the full value of an R&D claim, but will offer a proportion of the R&D claim value.
Most lenders will only offer a loan secured against an R&D claim already submitted and approved by HMRC. In specific circumstances and subject to relevant credit checks, some lenders may advance funds to a company before their year end is completed
Don’t let claim delays interrupt your cash flow – take control and overcome them!
R&D Cash Advances: What we offer
Investing in research and development (R&D) can be a great benefit to your company, but the time taken to receive your claim from HMRC may cause unexpected cash-flow struggles. If you are claiming over £100,000 in R&D tax credits, we offer an excellent solution! Through our select panel of lenders with adjustable terms catered to your unique requirements, we provide short term financing that will bridge the gap between investment and reimbursement.

Capital Allowances
Capital Allowances provide a generous tax relief for businesses, allowing companies to deduct part or all of the cost of investing in capital assets before tax. However, less than half of all UK businesses entitled to claim capital allowances claim their entitlement, which could be worth hundreds of thousands of pounds when evaluated.
Visiativ can support your allowances claim
- Our multi-disciplinary team, including lawyers, tax accountants and surveyors, will assist you in identifying your entitlement across all your assets and relieve the burden of tax compliance.
- We will quantify and allocate expenditure into the correct pools to ensure you obtain the appropriate tax relief and we work with the Valuation Office Agency and HMRC to agree your claim.
- Our consultants will keep you in control of the process, confident that your fixed asset management processes are robust and provide the required information to support your claims for tax relief in an efficient manner.
IP Leveraged Funding
Intellectual Property (IP) leveraged funding, also known as IP-based financing or IP monetisation, refers to the practice of using intellectual property assets as collateral to secure funding or generate revenue. IP assets can include patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and other intangible assets that have commercial value.
IP-leveraged funding secures a loan for your business based on the value of your intellectual property (as opposed to being secured on personal guarantees or physical collateral).
How IP Leveraged Funding works
Put simply, your IP is used as collateral for a loan. Your IP generates funds, rather than giving away shares in your company (which can be a really painful thing to do for business founders).
The process:
Lenders will normally take a charge over the IP, although some might prefer a sale and license or lease-back arrangement. The terms of funding deals vary and it is important that the IP owner can demonstrate the value of their IP (to allow lenders to assess and tailor their offer).
The process of filing an application and receiving the funds is straightforward. Depending on how urgently you need them, your money can arrive in as little as 7 days or up to 8 weeks—there’s always a timeline that works for everyone’s unique needs!
How Visiativ can help with your IP Leveraged Funding

After a thorough review of your case, we will identify the best lender for you from our well-established partners.
-
